Description

This course presents the notion of databases and their use in real-life information management problems. The relational model (SQL) and the integration of databses into information systems and programmatic use is covered in detail, including aspects of transaction banking, integrity and management. Other types of databases (data warehouses, NoSQL, etc.) are covered in less detail.

Biography:

Carolina Sareyan is an engineer with eight years’ experience in developing and maintaining specialist applications for databases, integration, process automation and analytics.
She earned her Master’s Degree in Big Data Management, Technologies and Analytics at UPC-BarcelonaTech and has worked as a Python programmer since 2019. Her keen interest in teaching led her to work closely with the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional in Buenos Aires as a teaching assistant for the Databases subject
