EUKIT Events
Over its three-year duration, the EUKIT project organised a variety of activities for ESCI-UPF students and the wider academic community, aimed at bringing the EU’s Common Commercial Policy closer to real-world practice. Key initiatives included ESCIUPFilms, an audiovisual debate series on economics and international trade, and the study trip to Brussels, which offered students direct insight into the work of EU institutions.
ESCIUPFilms
ESCIUPFilms was a series of screenings and discussions that allowed students to explore topics related to international trade, global economics, and EU policy through audiovisual media. Each session combined a documentary or film with a guided discussion led by academic staff and invited experts.
Study Trip to Brussels
The study trip to Brussels provided students with firsthand insight into the work of European institutions. The programme included visits to bodies involved in the EU’s Common Commercial Policy and meetings with professionals in the field, providing a deeper understanding of current challenges in international trade.
Jordi Calafí, an alumni of the 2025 class and a lover of drawing, immortalised the trip to Brussels in a personal diary that includes institutional visits as well as leisure moments and anecdotes from the trip. ESCI-UPF decided to publish it in book format.
