ECOTOPIA, creating the Future of European Education Together

ECOTOPIA is a unique Bachelor's programme, co-developed by seven of the ten universities in the EUTOPIA alliance, an alliance that wants to build the university of the future, aiming to become, by 2030, an open, multicultural, federated operation of connected campuses.

These seven universities have teamed up to offer a three-year programme that runs concurrently across their campuses. This allows students to work in international teams at the undergraduate level, a rare and exciting opportunity.

ECOTOPIA aims to shape informed and proactive citizens and leaders who are excited and confident about their future careers in a global context. Graduates of ECOTOPIA will have strong skills in areas like economics, management, finance, and business. They will also be adaptable, with a lifelong love of learning and collaboration.

One of the key focuses of the Ecotopia programme is sustainability. Graduates will be equipped to incorporate sustainable practices into their projects and problem-solving approaches throughout their careers. They will be prepared to be active, globally-minded citizens who prioritize sustainability.

The programme also includes two summer schools, one in Ljubljana (compulsory) and one in Rabat (optional), on the ESSEC Business School campus. The first summer school is designed to help build community among the students, while the second focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa.

Upon completing the programme, students will receive a European certification along with their primary national or school degree. They will also have a network of contacts across Europe that they can tap into throughout their lives.

Ecotopia is part of the EUTOPIA alliance's mission to provide students with an international education focused on sustainable development. This aligns with the goals of the member institutions and European policies on societal transition. EUTOPIA is positioning itself as a key player in education for a sustainable future, equipping its students with the knowledge and skills they need for successful careers in Economics, Management, Finance, and Business.
