ESCI-UPF Student Enrolment

Enrolment Deadlines

  • Ordinary enrolment: From 21/07/2025 to 25/07/2025, you can find all the detailed information and access to the SIGMA self-enrolment platform via the intranet. Students will be called according to their academic records, taking into account grades up to the official results of the third term (excluding resits).
  • Extraordinary enrolment: Submit your request via Procedures/SIGMA before 16 September 2025, specifying the subjects you wish to enrol in, your economic consent, and the chosen payment method. The Academic Management Office will process it, and a surcharge will be applied to the enrolment fee.

Payment Deadlines and Methods

You must choose one of the following three payment options:

  • 100% of the enrolment fee paid during the enrolment period.
  • 50% of the enrollment fee is paid during the enrollment period; the remaining 50% will be paid between 1 and 10 February of the following year.
  • Payment in 10 instalments: The first instalment (28% of the total enrolment fee) must be paid by credit/debit card (online payment) or bank receipt at the time of enrolment. The remaining 72% will be paid in 9 monthly instalments from September to May, by direct debit (SEPA mandate required). An additional charge of €200 will be applied as interest.

The first instalment must be paid by credit/debit card (online payment) or bank receipt.

If paying by bank receipt (abonaré):

Once your enrolment has been validated, download/print the bank receipt for the first instalment and complete the payment using one of the following options:

  • In person: At a CaixaBank ATM using any bank card (please check the credit/debit limit on your card).

  • Online: Via the following CaixaBank link, whether or not you are a customer. Or through Banco Santander, if you are a customer.

If you are making an online payment, you may use any bank card (please check your credit/debit limit).

If you choose the instalment plan with surcharge, you will need to complete the SEPA Mandate to set up a direct debit for the September–May instalments. Payments will be charged on the 15th of each month. Any returned payment will incur a €50 surcharge. In case of a change of bank account, a new SEPA Mandate must be completed, and the change must be requested through the Economic Management Office before the end of the previous month.

Bank receipts and the second card payment have a set expiry date, depending on the chosen payment schedule. Once the deadline has passed, they become invalid. To resolve this, you'll need to contact the Economic Management Office to have them reissued.

Grants and Discounts

ESCI-UPF awards grants based on students’ academic performance and applicants' financial circumstances. To this end, a Grants Committee has been established to assess these criteria and determine the allocation and amount of each grant.

Suppose you are eligible for any discount on the official public enrollment fees. In that case, you must submit the relevant documentation — valid as of the start date of the academic year — by opening the corresponding procedure in SIGMA before 15 July 2025, or submit the renewal if your documentation expired during the 2024–2025 academic year. Alternatively, you may submit it by no later than 22 September 2025, the official start of the academic year. In this latter case, the discount will be applied to the February instalment.
