Biography

His professional career got under way in 1982, when he joined Coopers & Lybrand as an auditor. In 1984 he began work as a consultant at Arthur Andersen (now Accenture). He acquired extensive administrative and financial experience working at Compañía General de Tabacos de Filipinas, at the French textile multinational Dollfus-Mieg and at Industrias Valls (owner of the Punto Blanco brand). In 1997 he was appointed general manager of Creaciones Victorio y Lucchino and in 1999 he became director of investments at the venture-capital company Catalana d’Iniciatives.

In 2003 he became management controller at the Vemsa group (which operates in the engineering and plastics packaging industry). In 2010 and 2011 he was administrative-economic director at Hoteles Turísticos Unidos, S.A. He is currently financial adviser to a number of SMEs. Lecturer at EADA, ESADE, UPF and Online Business School (EAE).
