Biography

Jordi Garcia completed his PhD in Statistical Physics at the University of Barcelona in 1995. He held postdoctoral positions at the Georgia Institute of Technology (1996) and the Humboldt University in Berlin, as an Alexander von Humboldt research fellow (1998). In 2003 he was a visiting fellow at Cornell University and in 2008 he was made a professor at UPC–BarcelonaTech, where he had worked since 1991. He has been a research associate at the California Institute of Technology since 2006 and a professor at UPF since 2012.
