Biography
Cristina Campos Herrero is a PhD student in the Chemical, Energy, and Process Engineering program at the University of Cantabria (UC). She graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering (2015-2019) from UC and earned an inter-university master's degree in Chemical Engineering (2019-2020) from UC and the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). After completing her Master's degree, she joined the Development of Chemical Processes and Pollution Control (DePRO) research group as a researcher, where she focused on conducting life cycle assessments of processes and products. Currently, she is developing her thesis on the environmental assessment of tourism within the context of the Greentour Project: Circular Economy and Sustainable Tourism in destinations within the SUDOE region. She completed her pre-doctoral stay at the University of Aveiro in Portugal with the LISAT (Life Cycle Based Sustainability Assessment Tools) Team, where she concentrated on applying the Life Cycle Assessment methodology in the tourism sector. Currently, she is coordinating this project at a technical level at the ESCI-UPF.
