Biography
Toni Gabaldón leads the Comparative Genomics group at the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre (BSC) and the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB). He previously worked at the CRG (Barcelona), CIPF (Valencia) and NCMLS (Nijmegen, Netherlands). His main research interests are in the fields of genomics and evolution, and he has made significant contributions to the understanding of how genes, pathways, biological organisms and communities evolve and perform their functions.
