Biography

Helena Boltà Torrell is a computer engineer with extensive experience in using a range of means (above all Agile practices) to manage and organise processes and methodologies to help improve companies’ efficiency and effectiveness in software development (J2EE and BDD). She has a Master’s Degree in Data Visualisation and Big Data and teaches Software Engineering and NoSQL Databases at the UAB. She sits on the board of directors at the College of Computer Engineers of Catalonia and the assessment committee at the Agency for Qualification of Professional Engineers (AQPE). She is currently working as a CIO and project leader in a company offering a Big Data analysis platform for companies in the energy industry.
