Description

User experience (UX) is the interaction and experience that users have with a company’s product and services; user interface (UI) is the specific asset, such as colours and typography, that users interact with. This course adopts a design-centric approach to UI/UX design and offers practical, skill-based instruction centred on a visual communications perspective. In this course you will become familiar with all stages of the UI/UX development process, from user research to defining a project’s strategy, scope and information architecture and developing sitemaps and wireframes. You will learn current best practices and conventions in UX design and apply them to create effective and compelling screen-based experiences for websites and apps. The skills and knowledge you will have acquired by the end of this course are applicable to a wide variety of jobs in areas ranging from marketing and web design to human–computer interaction.
