Ten years of the EU-Korea Trade Agreement.
What conclusions can be drawn for the ten years ahead?

EUKIT, the ESCI-UPF Jean Monnet Module on "Knowledge and Innovation for the European Trade Challenges" is glad to announce the talk "Ten years of the EU-Korea Trade Agreement. What conclusions can be drawn for the ten years ahead?", held online on Monday, Mar 1st, at 01:00pm (CET).

Dr. Ramon Pacheco Pardo, KF-VUB Korea Chair at Brussels School of Governance & Reader in International Relations at King's College London, will join this event as key speaker.

Since the end of the Korean war, the Korean Peninsula has been one of the hottest spots in the International scene. The tensions between the two Koreas have been recurrent; and its impact on regional stability, evident. However, these circumstances have not prevented the Republic of Korea to become a full-democracy and one of the most dynamic economies in the world. This did not go unnoticed to the EU, that in 2011 concluded a significant trade agreement with ROK, the first of its kind with an Asian nation. After the revision of these first ten years, it is time to consider what conclusions can be drawn for the next ten years ahead.
