Prize for best Bachelor's Degree Final Project (TFG) on Planetary Wellbeing
The UNESCO Chair in Life Cycle and Climate Change ESCI-UPF, in collaboration with Pompeu Fabra University, is launching the Price for the Best Bachelor’s Dissertation in Planetary Wellbeing, an initiative aimed at undergraduate students who wish to connect their dissertation with some of today’s major social, environmental and economic challenges.
Planetary Wellbeing invites us to look at the world from a broader perspective: to understand that human health, social justice, ecosystem balance, animal welfare, the economy and the climate are deeply interconnected. In this context, bachelor’s dissertations can serve as a valuable tool for analysing complex problems, raising new questions, and proposing transformative solutions.
With this award, the UNESCO Chair seeks to recognise dissertations that address these challenges from a critical, interdisciplinary and action-oriented perspective, drawing on its expertise in sustainability, climate change, life cycle assessment and the transition towards fairer and more resilient models. The price aims to highlight students’ talent and give visibility to work that can contribute, from within the university, to generating useful knowledge for Planetary Wellbeing.
