PhD in Mathematical Sciences (Universitat de Barcelona)
Àngel Gil Estallo was born in Lleida and has a bachelor’s degree and PhD in Mathematical Sciences from the Universitat de Barcelona. He is currently associate professor at the Department of Economics and Business at UPF. He lectures mainly in mathematics, although he has also taught statistics, operational research and IT. He has carried out research into mathematical logic and computing and worked on areas of statistics and applied economics. At ESCI-UPF he also provides e-learning support through Moodle.

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics
Jordi Taixés has a bachelor’s degree and a PhD in Mathematics from the Universitat de Barcelona. He worked as a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Analysis at the Universitat de Barcelona for 10 years, including long periods of research at the Institut Henri Poincaré (Paris) and the University of Warwick (UK). He also carried out research at the Institut de Geomàtica at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya for three years. He has taught at the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at UPF for five years.
