Biography

Rodrigo Rubio Cuadrado set up Margen-LAB Architecture (Madrid 2004), originally as a publication and now as a firm, to explore different professional boundaries in the overlap between ecology, information technologies and architecture. Their approach to the architectural realm is decidedly multiscalar, working in fields such as territorial planning, product design, landscape architecture and digital fabrication. Since 2008 he has exhibited and lectured in several national and international forums, including the Cincinnati ACADIA Conference (2015), New York Innovation Summit (2013), Oslo Triennial (2013), 12th Venice Biennale, “People Meet in Architecture”, curated by Kazuyo Sejima, and the 13th Venice Biennale, “Common Ground”, curated by David Chipperfield. He has taught courses and seminars at several architecture schools, including ETSAM (Madrid), UEM (Madrid) and EPSA (Alicante).
