Biography

Born in Barcelona, Marc Montlleo is Director of Environmental Projects at Barcelona Regional since 2011. In 1999, after a period working as an environmental technician in an engineering firm supervising environmental vigilance site plans and carrying out environmental projects, he joined Barcelona Regional and helped draft and coordinate projects such as the Environmental Impact Assessment for the Strategic Plan for the Barcelona Metropolitan Region, the process to regain the final stretch of the River Besòs, the project to create artificial reefs along the coast of Barcelona, the basic and executive project for the Marine Zoo, the environmental guidelines for the Vallbona eco-district and the environmental reports on the urban policy changes in Barcelona. He has also sat on environmental monitoring plan committees at Barcelona airport, Llobregat water sewage plant and the agency overseeing the new course of the River Llobregat. In parallel, he carries out his academic activity as associate professo
