Biography

Ricardo Devesa works as an editor at Actar Publishers, teaches theory at ETSAB (UPC) and carries out architectural research at Elisava School of Design for the Master’s Degree in Architecture and Environment (UPF). He is also editor of DC Papers (UPC) and was visiting scholar at the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP, Columbia University, New York). He has taught design and worked with a number of vertical workshops and seminars at the ESARQ (UIC). He was a member of the editorial staff of Quaderns d’arquitectura i urbanisme journal and an editor of Basa magazine. Together with Manuel Gausa, he coedited the book Otra mirada. Posiciones contra crónicas. La acción crítica como reactivo en la arquitectura española reciente (Barcelona: Gustavo Gili, 2010).
